Into The Woods

Into The Woods

A romantic Boho look for todays photo shoot. This is the first of many I hope. This shoot was one of the best so far and SO much fun. Most days, I just can't decide what I want to look like. What you wear sets the tone for the whole day and the attitude you will carry with you. I know Christmas has just passed but I cannot wait for SPRING! Dresses, sandals, tans, iced coffee, the whole sha-bang. I seriously cannot wait. But don't worry, I'll calm down and wait for December to be over. As cold as it was to bare this outfit the other day in the PNW, it was thrilling and definitely got me thinking.

When I want to feel creative, eclectic, natural, and so much more I opt for a braided look for my hair. There is so much you can do and its so timeless! I will up some of my favorite braid tutorials soon. Lets me know which kinds you would like to learn.

Thanks for hanging out, Lela Ruth Lifestyle loves you!

Just Put Flowers On It

Just Put A Flower On It

The Christmas day came and went in a beautiful blur. I hope everyone rejoiced in the meaning of Christmas, and received lots of love. That's the stuff that really matters, although it doesn't hurt to get presents.

Anyone know of any really cool fashion bloggers out there that posted all kinds of fun looks for this Christmas season? Let's see some links people! That was one of my favorite parts. Seeing what others were sharing was such an inspiration! I especially like all the woman who go outside the box... Looks like I need to step up my game.

To all who don't know, I love a good floral pattern and think the pictures turned out great. I went through a stage where everything I wore was floral.

Compliments to Nordstroms, Halo Crown Hair, Macy's, and forever 21 for the Clothing items provided for these looks.
Stay tuned because my next post is going to be WONDERFUL.

Thank you from Lela Ruth Lifestyle Fashion Blog. We love you.

Christmas, Tights, and Glitter. Tis' the season.

Lets get this Christmas party started people. Tis' the season. It seems like I have seen Family and friends decorating everyday this month. Every home I walk into is so inviting and filled with cheer. I even saw a martini shaker in the form of a christmas tree. In between all the eggnog and ugly sweater parties we managed to take a few pictures for today. When your trying to dress cute on a very low budget this holiday season (that is how im keepin' this blog afloat for now) Its totally okay! All you need is like, three things that I will share with you.

Have a sweater that says "im stylish enough to make this this sweater even a little sexy." Then, after you say that, go eat a snowman shaped cookie with pride. second thing you will need to survive is one single pair of tights. When wearing these tights tread lightly ladies, this pair of tights could last your whole life, or one night depending on how you conduct yourself. And the third item, last but not least, is a tiny bit of glitter. Because glitter is always in season.

This Christmas season, my advice to you is to be as bold as possible. Feel free to get a little crazy. Go ahead and put those weird antlers on your car, or wear that pine and cinnamon purfume you have been dying to try. If there is any time of year you shouldnt feel ashamed, this would be the time. And you can get away with it all! If you are planning a trip for the holiday or you are trying to escape the PNW cold, make sure to check out the banner on your right for great travel prices as well.

XOXO

Lets be friends. I am in also  especially wanting to hear what contouring sets have worked best for all you ladies.and a review on NYX cosmetics to a gal who's makeup just doesn't want to stay on her darn face.

Thank you NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

Ain't nothing like the lumberjack flannel when going the plaid direction. It can go classic or a little street. Would it be out of control to find a matching hat to match? Im kidding.

Once again the is my Beautiful friend rockin' the red and black flannel. Her look brought together on a small budget, but who could ever tell? Something that makes this outfit, is an accessory that has come back with a bang. That darn Beanie. or as they call it in Canada, a tuke, I love pairing beanies with long romantic curls because I think it makes a great combo of feminine and gunge. Hats off to this girl for making it happen.

We brought those beautiful boots back for this look because I don't know if the rest of your have noticed, but all the laws we once went by when it came to dressing have totally gone out the window. It is now appropriate to wear brown and black together in matrimony. Ladies and Gentleman, behold.

As usual it was the perfect day in the Pacific North West with fog, rain, and a few moments of clarity. If you ask me, This is the perfect PNW look. Go out and get yourself a flannel and go drink some tea in the rain.

with love,

Baby Love

I could not be happier with these pictures! It was the most typically perfect Pacific Northwest day. All I had to do was pretend to boss this beautiful girl around and hold her always happy baby.

Knee high, chunky sweater combo is the best for daily life. What would you wear on your day off while still trying to remain a looker? I would wear this while making coffee, or trying to make a good impression on new people.

So anyways, This is My beautiful friend. I asked to let us take pictures of her because of her ability to put together inexpensive outfits that you could never guess where actually inexpensive.

Thank you so much to my beautiful friend and Her baby! Follow me on Google+, Instagram, facebook, and of coarse pinterest.
Xoxo

My Top 9 Perfume Picks

No. 1. The first two are a complete tie. I cannot for the life of me decide. I am so in love with deep rich scents and tend to stay away from the more fruity floral scents. This one is newer and I am so glad it was born! I stashed a sample strip of this in my purse for awhile even. (poor girls tip on staying classy-ish)

No. 2. Tocca, Stella is a line I found at a little boutique near where I live. I am not kidding when I say everyone of their scents smell amazing, but this one is my favorite, it's definitely unique as well. It is hard to find a perfume that lasts all day but doesn't overwhelm but this one does the job.
No. 3. Tocca, Cleopatra is my 2nd favorite scent from this line.
No. 4. Giorgio Armani, Oh baby! This stuff makes me melt! I first got hooked on the men's scent then realized this was even better and probably more appropriate for me.
No. 5. Chanel No. 5, For so many woman this is a go to scent, and I totally know why. Its so classic and never gets old. This is another one that stays with you through the hours.
No. 6.  Dolce & Gabbana The One, I am also a huge fan of vanilla. so anything with a vanilla undertone grabs my attention right away. This is subtle class with a touch of Betty Crocker:)
No. 7. Juicy Couture, ALL of my friends have this. I think every girl needs this because being playful is an art and smelling the part helps.
No. 8.  Ralph Lauren Romance, has been alive since the 90's and still going strong. It grows on you more and more until you don't feel completely ready for the day without it.
No. 9. Versace Bright Crystal, Its just darn sexy. a scent for going out or for if you have a life after 10 P.M.

To Soon For Costumes?

Help! When ever the time to pick out a costume rolls around, like a lot of things in life, I get so excited by all the options and creative ideas that I cant focus or decide. That's where I need help. I have narrowed it down to only few choices and I would love some opinions or even some more ideas to go with them.
First choice goes to the minion.

Luckily my Mother is a seamstress and this is a very easy costume to create, But I just think it is adorable. I found this on simpleasthatblog.com. I love this blog because it truly is that simple. If I am  looking for something she always seems to have what it is. Great ideas. You can also follow her on Pinterest as Rebecca Cooper. Don't act like you don't spend time on there anyways.

I put the picture at the top, Just because I like it. As much as I have always wanted to take the time to do a drastic makeup look for Halloween, in all honesty I am way to lazy. And aint nobody got the time to go out and buy all that yellow paint. But its good to dream big.

I love This girls makeup tutorials because she has as classic twist on almost all her looks, and she is very creative. Subscribe to Bethany Mota on Youtube.

This is my second choice because I have ALWAYS wanted to be Cru Ela for some reason. See why I need help?

Posing at the Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone! Todays the day I finally get to post some pictures my very talented friend and I took the other day.  I picked two looks I already had in my closet and that we thought you guys would like.
This year for Halloween I'm going all in. I want to carve pumpkins, watch hocus pocus, go to a haunted house, drink cider. EVERYTHING Halloween. Every moment must be filled with horror and candy.
